WHO IS MARILYN MONROE

Marilyn Monroe, real name Norma Jean, was born on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. His father, Edward Mortensen, left his mother before Norma was born. His childhood years of starvation and misery were further darkened when his mother Gladys Baker had a severe nervous breakdown and was hospitalized. Norma's life in the orphanage began with this unfortunate incident. Norma Jean, who was sexually abused at the age of 8, became an unwanted guest while staying with an acquaintance and at the age of 16 she made the hardest decision of her life. He would not return to the orphanage and would marry Jim Dougherty, who worked as a factory worker. Norma's marriage did not last long and ended in September 1946, when she married Jim in June 1942.

While working in a factory in Burbank, his photos were taken by chance and he started modeling. It was discovered by the famous filmmaker Howard Hughes and changed its name to Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn, who initially appeared as a quiet blonde girl in small roles, achieved success after the films "Love Happy" (1949) and "All About Eve" (1950). Adding to her naturalness, charm and femininity, the quiet blonde girl turned into an idol known as the "Blonde Bomb". He entered the world house in June 1954 with professional baseball player Joe Di Maggio, whom he met in 1950.

Making her reputation famous with her films "Niagara", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", "How to Marry A Millionaire", Marilyn used to argue that everything should be natural and sincere. Perhaps thanks to this idea, it has become the dream of filmmakers and photographers. Marilyn, who broke up with her second husband in October 1954, was said to be the biggest factor in her marriage to her fame and blonde sexy bomb image.

The year 1956 was very fast for Marilyn. The sexy star, who also founded her own company Marilyn Monroe Productions this year, made her third marriage to Arthur Miller, a playwright, on June 29. Drug and alcohol addiction, which negatively affected his career, also started in this period. Marliyn Monroe, who forgot herself due to psychological problems, left her third husband on June 21, 1961.

However, the famous star, who was found dead in his home in Brentwood on August 5, 1962, committed suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. Allegations were made that the incident was not a suicide but a murder, and the reason was his association with Kennedy. Marilyn was buried in California on August 8, 1962.

Marilyn Monroe, considered the sexy bombshell of the 20th century, never finished her unfinished movie "Something's Gotto Give". The only thing that the famous star, known to be left-handed, could not give up and did not leave her was the perfume "Chanel No: 5".

The beautiful star, who has not been forgotten after her death, was named "The Sexiest Woman in the World" by People Magazine in 1999. Also selected by Playboy magazine in 1999 as "Sexiest Star of the 20th Century", Marilyn Monroe has numerous films and awards. It is also known that Elton John accused Marilyn of his piece "Candle in the Wind".
