WHO IS MARILYN MONROE

Marilyn Monroe, real name Norma Jean, was born on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. His father, Edward Mortensen, left his mother before Norma was born. His childhood years of starvation and misery were further darkened when his mother Gladys Baker had a severe nervous breakdown and was hospitalized. Norma's life in the orphanage began with this unfortunate incident.
